Hoping for Home!?!?

Well it seems that Lace has continued the very slow and gradual trend of getting better over the past day and a half. She was so hungry last night and I asked dad and mom to pick her up a plain baked potato from wendys (mind you that she's had nothing more than broth and suckers for 18 days, most of which didn't stay on her stomach) and I took the potato and scraped it off to make her soft potato. Needless to say she loved it and she even licked the plate clean. Thrilled our hearts to see her enjoy even a basic bland bite of tater. Since that time, she's seemed to have ups and downs but she has had some soup and more liquids and even more potato tonight. Her pain and nausea persist but are not as severe. The vomitting has been minimal and Lacey's mindset, attitude, and faith have really increased. We are thankful for her recovery to this point and we continue to pray God's blessings on her for the next weeks to come.
As for her, the doctor said today that we are planning for discharge home tomorrow! These plans do hinge on Lacey's level of health and strength and regardless of when we go home, we are set up to be on home health, with TPN nutrition via her PICC line to continue at home. We are hopeful and encouraged with that news since today is our 18th day in the hospital and away from our dear little miracle daughter. The plan is that Lacey will continue the TPN up until the flight to Minnesota on Oct 22nd and then we will possibly (depending on how she is) be admitted to The University Hospital for care on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the surgery to follow on Monday. So much more could be mentioned here regarding finances, plans, and Lacey's health but instead of getting entirely lengthy, I will say God is good, His plans will endure and will not be thwarted. Our road ahead is challenging even still - physically, emotionally, financially, and spiritually, we are challenged. We are thankful for this time, for we are being sanctified through this suffering and God is increasing our faith. Please continue to pray for Lacey as we come near to the day of this surgery.
Here is a passage that was shared with me recently. Hope it will affect you in some way:

Isaiah 40:21-31

Do you not know? Do you not hear? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth? 22 It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in; 23 who brings princes to nothing, and makes the rulers of the earth as emptiness. 24 Scarcely are they planted, scarcely sown, scarcely has their stem taken root in the earth, when he blows on them, and they wither, and the tempest carries them off like stubble. 25 To whom then will you compare me, that I should be like him? says the Holy One. 26 Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name, by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power not one is missing.
27 ¶ Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, “My way is hidden from the LORD, and my right is disregarded by my God”? 28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. 29 He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. 30 Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; 31 but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
