update #1

Just got a call from the operating room nurse telling me that lacey is doing well. They have successfully removed the pancreas, spleen, and appendix without complication. The pancreas is now in route to the lab where the islet cells will be processed. This may take 3 - 4 hours. We are expecting a visit from the surgeon at any time now, so i'll re update the blog after we meet with dr. sutherland. Keep holding her up in prayer. We konw that God is working through these doctors and his will is perfect. Please thank Him in your prayers as this progresses.
