Lacey has had another rough day and the doctor ordered a feeding tube this morning to be inserted through her nose and past her stomach into her small intestine so that she could get adequte nutrition and allow her pancreas and stomach to "rest." The insertion was very difficult and painful but Lacey endured. She had nausea, vomitting and pain on and off throughout the day today as it has been in days past. She is resting now as I write this and we are hopeful that the insertion of the tube will begin the healing process. Please continue to pray for her as she deals with the same discomforts of the past attacks in addition to the discomfort of the feeding tube in her nose. As for the surgery, we did hear from Jim, my new friend in Minnesota that has been our advocate in dealing with the insurance company here in Mississippi. He continues to give us hopeful news regarding insurance coverage and we are thankful for God's provisions in this thus far. The surgery remains scheduled for October 27th and could potentially be moved up to October 26th. Continue to pray that Lacey will build strength and that her nutrition will be stable so that we can make the flight to Minnesota and so that she can recover from such an invasive surgery. Also pray that God's perfect peace will gaurd Lacey's heart and mind through this suffering as we know that no strength and no joy is sufficient for us but the strength and joy provided by God in Christ Jesus.
Phillipians 4:6-7 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
