More Progress!

So the therapists just came back in at 3 and encouraged Lacey to get up and walk. She sat up with minimal assistance and they gave her the walker. She walked to the door, then to the hall(where she went this morning), then she asked to go further. There is a small room at the end of the hall that overlooks the MS River with chairs there for patients. She managed to make it to that room, which was over 60 feet from her bed(one way). She sat about 10 minutes and the therapists were in awe. She made it back to her bed and is now sleeping. The pain increased some with walking but is controlled by the meds much better than in the past two days.
She still has all the tubes and lines, and none of them will be removed until she can walk 4 times in one day, which is her goal tomorrow. She remains on TPN for nutrition and only gets minimal amounts of water and juice by mouth (which immediately is sucked out of her stomach by the tube in her nose). Just wanted to keep all our prayer warriors updated so that we can glorify God together with our thanks.

  3. Hi, Jeremy!

Just wanted to share thanks with you and your wife. You both display such moving faith... instead of reading this and feeling depressed, I'm actually uplifted and hopeful! I pray often for you guys! I've shared this with a diabetic friend that is having problems with his pancreas, so you are indirectly spreading hope to others.

    God bless you both!
